 PRECISION AGRICULTURE
We utilize drones to provide high resolution imagery to farmers.   Drones can provide real time data to assist decision making in fertilizer and pesticide application.   We use RGB (visible light) and NIR (Near InfraRed) cameras ( and will be adding thermal in Spring of 2020!).  Using visible light imagery, we can capture still shots, videos, and create high resolution maps of entire fields.  NIR is light just outside the visible spectrum.  Plants reflect NIR light based on their relative health or vigor.  The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index compares light in the NIR spectrum to red light to provide a numerical value.  Images seen in the slideshow above which show fields in red, yellow, and green are NDVI images.  Plant stress often be seen earlier and more clearly with NDVI than visible light.  Satellites are often used for this, so why use drones?  Drones provide much higher resolution (a few centimeters vs meters or tens of meters), offer a more flexible schedule (satellites can only capture imagery when they pass over regardless of cloud cover), and have much smaller minimum requirements.  This spring, we will be adding a new drone with a FLIR thermal camera, which will allow us to take the plants' temperature to assess health?  Is that a thing?  Yes!  Plants release moisture through their leaves to stay cool.  When they don't, their temperature will rise due to the radiant heat from the sun.  Knowing where hot spots are will allows the grower to go to that spot and assess whether that plant is not getting enough water or whether it is afflicted by disease or pests.

TURF ANALYSIS
A subset of precision agriculture focusing on turf, whether that be a turf farm, golf course, or park.  Utilizing RGB and NIR cameras like we do with typical crops, we can provide details about turf health and stress enabling turf growers, golf courses, and park managers to identify, track, and treat problem areas.  Our new thermal capability will be a big benefit here, too.  Grass transpires like crops to keep the blades cool.  Many golf courses already use moisture probes to test areas of the course.  A thermal map will quickly pinpoint areas that need to be probed.

INSPECTION
Irrigation pivots and lines, canal banks, cell towers, canal banks, dams, roofs, and more.

CONSTRUCTION
Site maps, aerial photos, videos can provide you an your customers valuable up to date information.

AERIAL VIDEOGRAPHY / PHOTOGRAPHY
While our specialty may be mapping, we also enjoy aerial videography and photography.   Need aerial videos or pictures of your business, farm, real estate listing, or something else?  Let us know.
